Vol. 495 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

David Stanton

Question:

257 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children the length of time a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been waiting to have a hip replacement operation at the Orthopaedic Hospital in Cork; the date on which he was first seen by the consultant; when he will have the operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20531/98]

The question of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of the Southern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
