Question:444 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the situation concerning the proposed extension to St. Mary's CBS, Mullingar, County Westmeath. [20505/98]
Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar, County Westmeath, forwarded a report outlining a number of solutions for the provision of additional accommodation to my Department for consideration. However, on examination, these proposals were not regarded as viable by my Department. The school authority has recently presented another option, which is being considered by my Department.

Architectural planning work for the proposed new school has been completed and the project is now at tender stage.
