Vol. 495 No. 4

Written Answers. - Commission on the Status of Women.

Jan O'Sullivan

Question:

58 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when he will publish the current year's monitoring report on the recommendations of the Second Commission on the Status of Women; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20274/98]

The gender equality monitoring committee, which operates under the aegis of my Department, is considering a draft of the third progress report on the implementation of the recommendations of the Second Commission on the Status of Women and hopes to complete the report by the end of this year. On receipt of the report from the monitoring committee, I will arrange to have it published without delay.
