118 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources whether he has identified in full the number of fishing ports or harbours which require improvement or refurbishment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22136/98]
While a substantial programme of improvements and refurbishment has been undertaken at fishery harbours in recent years, there are significant further development and upgrading needs at a range of key locations around the coast. These requirements will be addressed in the fishery harbour development programmes for 1999 and subsequent years, and in the preparations for the next round of Structural Funds.
