Vol. 497 No. 3

Written Answers - Capital Projects.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

151 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the capital projects involving funding from his Department scheduled to commence in the Waterford constituency in 1999; the estimated expenditure in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25052/98]

The estimated expenditure on capital projects for information technology to be initiated in the Waterford constituency in 1999 is approximately £41,000. These projects relate to the installation of equipment to support the network of links between offices and also the installation of new telephone systems.

The costs of capital projects for building or refurbishing offices used by the Department are borne by the Office of Public Works. There is no new expenditure of this nature planned for 1999 in respect of the Department's Waterford offices.
