Question:

197 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education and Science if the situation will be improved in regard to repeated representations made concerning a person (details supplied) in County Wexford and his primary school in view of announcements he has made in relation to the improvement of special education facilities, particularly in relation to children with autism, [25097/98]

I am aware of the case to which the Deputy refers. I am confident that the child in question will benefit from the improvements in special education services which I recently announced. Indeed, I assure the Deputy that the needs of the child in question are under active consideration in my Department in the context of the developments which have recently taken place.
