Vol. 497 No. 4

Written Answers - Garda Stations.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

160 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, he has to upgrade, improve or extend any of the Garda stations in north Kildare in the foreseeable future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25303/98]

It is proposed to build a new Garda station at Leixlip and the Office of Public Works is seeking a suitable site. Kildare County Council is providing a premises for a new Garda station at Robertstown in exchange for the existing station premises. It is expected that the new premises will be occupied by the Garda shortly.
