84 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the level of subvention which her Department has provided to Dublin Bus for each of the past five years; the portion of Dublin Bus running costs which this represents in percentage terms in each year; her views on the adequacy of this subvention; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The allocation of the Exchequer subvention to Córas Iompair Éireann to the individual operating companies within the group is currently a matter for the board of CIE. I have no function in the matter.

Information on the subvention allocated to Bus Átha Cliath and on its operating costs are given in its annual report and financial statements which is placed before both Houses of the Oireachtas.
