206 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the working group on child care announced in the December 1997 budget speech has reported to him; if so, its main recommendations in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25932/98]
My Department chairs the expert working group on child care which was established by the Government, under a commitment in Partnership 2000, to develop a framework for a national childcare infrastructure.
I understand that the expert working group intends to finalise a report and recommendations in December 1998 and that the report will be published in January 1999.
