Question:

252 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which he expects funds to be drawn down within the next 12 months in relation to the provision of proposed and required extra facilities at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26083/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 246 and 252 together.

Architectural planning is proceeding at present and the invitation of tenders for this project will be considered once the planning process has been completed. It would not be appropriate to indicate the estimated cost of the project in advance of tendering as this could compromise the tendering process. It is not possible at this point to say when construction will commence.
