Vol. 498 No. 1

Written Answers. - Marina Projects.

John McGuinness

Question:

303 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the plans, if any, there are to provide a marina at Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny. [26471/98]

The Deputy will be aware that Dúchas, the Heritage Service of my Department, has carried out extensive restoration works to the quay wall on the Tinnahinch side of the river to facilitate berthage of boats below Graiguenamanagh bridge in addition to the berthage available above the bridge. I am advised that the berthage available is quite adequate. There are no plans to provide a publicly-funded marina facility in the area at present.
