384 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide travel expenses to teachers who provide adult education; and if he will respond to correspondence sent to him on the 22 July 1998 in relation to this matter (details supplied). [26659/98]
Adult education tutors are employees of the vocational education committees and the payment of travel expenses is, therfore, a matter for individual vocational education committees. A reply to the Deputy's representations of 22 July 1998 in this matter will be issued shortly and the delay involved is regretted.
