Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Stagg — the need to discuss the staffing and accommodation crisis in St. Raphael's, John of God Centre, Celbridge, which is causing severe hardship to the patients, those on the waiting list, the staff and the parents of the patients; (2) Deputy Shatter — the need to discuss the content of the Deloitte & Touche report into Tallaght Hospital and the reaction of the Minister for Health and Children to the report; (3) Deputy McGinley — the need to discuss the loss of 800 jobs in Donegal announced yesterday by Fruit of the Loom and the urgency of bringing replacement employment to the county as soon as possible; (4) Deputy Sargent — the need to provide for wheelchair accessible vehicles in the context of any new investments in public transport, and (5) Deputy Broughan — the urgent need to reassure the workers of ISPAT, Irish Steel, Cobh, County Cork, about their future following recent disturbing reports about the future of this plant.

The matters raised by Deputies McGinley, Sargent, Stagg and Shatter have been selected for discussion.
