112 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will confirm receipt of another application to the milk quota appeals tribunal from a person (details supplied) in County Cork for additional milk quota in view of disease problems; and if he will ensure that adequate milk quota is allocated to this person in view of all the circumstances outlined in the application. A second application for a temporary allocation of additional quota under the restricted herds reserve has been submitted to the milk quota appeals tribunal by the person named and will be considered as soon as possible. The person named will be notified of the outcome of his application.

A temporary allocation of quota for the 1998-9 milk year has already been made to this person on foot of a previous application.
