245 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of herds affected with tuberculosis and brucellosis for each of the years from 1996 to date; the number of reactors; the number of depopulated herds for each district veterinary office in the same period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The number of herds restricted due to TB and brucellosis and the number of reactors disclosed from 1996 to date are as follows:

The number of depopulations for each county in respect of TB is not readily available. However, it is estimated that there are between 100 and 200 depopulations each year.
