Vol. 498 No. 4

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Beverley Flynn

Question:

258 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works will clean the Owenbrin river at Killateaune in view of the fact that it is overgrown, 20 farmers have had their land flooded and a lot of damage has been caused as a result (details supplied). [27250/98]

Although the Owenbrin River is located in the Corrib-Mask catchment area, it does not form part of the Office of Public Works' drainage scheme. Because of this my office is not in a position to carry out works on the Owenbrin.
