Vol. 498 No. 4

Written Answers. - Home Help Services.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

285 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if the Eastern Health Board will give assurances on adequate funding to a service supplier (details supplied) in the community care area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28054/98]

Question:

324 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will liaise with the relevant health board to ensure that a home help service (details supplied) receives adequate support to cater for its clients; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27875/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 285 and 324 together.

The provision of home help services in the Dublin area is a matter for the Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate this case and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
