376 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the progress, if any, taken place to date on an interdepartmental committee established to analyse the costs of child care; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27424/98]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 366 and 376 together.
The Expert Working Group on Child Care established under Partnership 2000 to develop a national child care framework has not concluded its deliberations. As soon as the report of the expert working group is received I will ensure it receives full consideration in so far as my Department is concerned.
