Vol. 498 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Michael Ring

Question:

412 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when a remedial teacher will be appointed to St. Theresa's national school, Kilkelly, County Mayo. [27332/98]

Seymour Crawford

Question:

447 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide a part-time remedial teacher to Rockcorry Church of Ireland and Drum national schools, County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27685/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 412 and 447 together.

I recently announced my intention of ensuring that every primary school in the country will have access to a remedial teacher service from September 1999.

The needs of the schools in question will be addressed in the context of this important development in remedial education services.
