150 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the criteria used to determine the qualification for an application of a PSV licence; if an applicant must be unemployed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28156/98]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the criteria used to determine the qualification for a PSV drivers' licence are set out in Article 34 of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) Regulations, 1963 as amended. All road traffic legislation, including the regulations made thereunder, is a matter for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government.
