326 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if payment will be made under the 1997 suckler cow scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the outcome of an appeal. [1358/99]

The appeal lodged by the herdowner was fully examined by the headage and premia appeals unit. In view of the outcome of the appeal payment will be made to the herdowner in the next few weeks.

327 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when 1998 headage will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [1359/99]

The person named will be paid his entitlement under the 1998 cattle headage scheme within the next two weeks.

328 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason persons (details supplied) in County Mayo have their headage payments delayed as a result of an area aid query; the reason they were not informed of the reason for the delay; and when the matter will be resolved. The area aid applications for each of the herdowners named have been processed. Any outstanding payments due to the above named will issue as soon as possible.

329 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give a detailed report on the area aid application for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny which is with his Department for some time; and when subsidies due to this person will be paid. [1393/99]

The above named person was a first time applicant in 1998. Based on EU regulations, land parcel identification system, LPIS, numbers must be available for all lands claimed. In order to attribute LPIS numbers to plots, maps are required. However, no maps were received with this application. Correspondence has been sent to the above named person requesting maps. The application will be processed on receipt of these maps.

330 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if payment will be arranged under the ten and 22 months beef subsidy schemes to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny whose area aid was cleared prior to Christmas. [1394/99]

A map was requested from the person named in connection with a specific parcel of land included on his 1998 area aid application. This map was digitised on receipt in the area aid unit. The digitising gave rise to an overclaim on land also claimed by an adjoining farmer. Both parties have been contacted in an attempt to resolve the matter.

331 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the 1998 area aid application for a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been accepted and processed; and if the relevant payments will issue. [1396/99]

The person named entered one application for ten month special beef premium and two applications for 22 month special beef premium in respect of a total of 61 animals. Given that payment cannot issue under special beef applications until the regulatory two month retention period has expired, applications entered in November are not due for payment until February 1999 at the earliest. The applications are currently being processed.

The area aid application for the person named has been processed. Payment in respect of cattle headage issued on 26 September 1998.

333 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Cork has received an additional 1998 area aid payment in view of the fact he had not received his full and proper entitlement. [1398/99]

A query arose in this case requiring the applicant to submit further maps to the area aid unit. The issue has now been resolved and a supplementary payment will issue to the person concerned within the next week.

The area aid application for the person named has been processed. Payment in respect of suckler cow premium will issue as soon as possible.

There is no record of a REP scheme application in respect of the person named.

The area aid application for the person named has been processed. Payment in respect of cattle headage and suckler cow premium will issue as soon as possible.

The herdowner lodged an appeal on 10 November 1998 concerning his 1998 cattle headage application. Appeals are dealt with in the order in which they are received and require individual examination. This appeal will be examined shortly and the herdowner will be notified of the outcome.

338 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1998 sheep headage in view of the fact that she has over 200 acres of land which should be sufficient forage area for a full sheep headage to issue. [1418/99]

Payment of the 1998 sheep headage including top up was made to the person named in respect 107 sheep on 29 October 1998 and 30 November 1998 respectively. However, following an up date of the forage area on the area aid file, a balancing payment is now due in respect of 93 sheep. This payment will be made shortly.

Question:

339 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if 1997 and 1998 cattle headage payments will be released for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact all the documentation has been lodged and received by his Department. [1419/99]

There was no area aid application received from the person named in 1998 and without a valid area aid application for the relevant year, headage payments cannot issue to a herdowner. The person named did not submit a 1997 cattle headage scheme application.
