540 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children if the application on behalf of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 made by his doctor and local clergy for residential care in St. Mary's Hospital could be expedited in view of the vulnerable circumstances of the person concerned. As the Deputy is aware, admission to extended care facilities in the Dublin area is a matter in the first instance for the Eastern Health Board.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate this case and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter or urgency.
