Vol. 499 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Tony Gregory

Question:

540 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children if the application on behalf of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 made by his doctor and local clergy for residential care in St. Mary's Hospital could be expedited in view of the vulnerable circumstances of the person concerned. [1124/99]

As the Deputy is aware, admission to extended care facilities in the Dublin area is a matter in the first instance for the Eastern Health Board.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate this case and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter or urgency.
