658 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department has received plans from Mayo County Council for the refurbishment and upgrading of the county council housing scheme at Toraree, Ballyhaunis; and if approval will be sanctioned in this regard. This scheme was designated for funding under the remedial works scheme in March 1996. The council has since reviewed its approach to the refurbishment of the estate and has submitted revised proposals to the Department. These are under examination and a decision will issue as soon as possible.
