Question:

890 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education and Science when the proposed extension to St. Michael's College, Listowel, County Kerry, will go to tender; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28441/98]

The architectural planning for the proposed extension to St. Michael's College, Listowel, County Kerry, is proceeding and when the stage four and five submission – detail design and contract documents – has been found to be satisfactory, the project will be ready for the next stage which is the invitation of tenders.

At that point, the question of inviting tenders will be considered in the light of the available capital resources and the Department's other commitments and priorities.
