Question:925 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the proposed construction of a new vocational school at Clonaslee, County Laois; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1265/99]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
A revised stage 3, developed sketch, scheme submission was due into the Department by 15 January 1999. As soon as this documentation has been received and approved by the building unit of my Department, permission will issue to the County Laois VEC to proceed to stage 4/5, detailed design-bill of quantities, of architectural planning. It is not possible at this stage to say when construction will commence.

The County Laois VEC has recently being given approval to make arrangements for the appointment of a design team for this project. Once the design team has been approved by my Department, architectural planning will commence.
