Question:

928 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science if the school catchment area for second level pupils attending the Waterford area from Mullinavat, County Kilkenny, will be reviewed to enable them to avail of the school transport scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1268/99]

Liam Aylward

Question:

935 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science when the examination of the catchment area boundaries in south Kilkenny will be completed. [1327/99]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 928 and 935 together.

An examination of the catchment area boundaries in the south Kilkenny area, adjacent to Waterford city, has been completed and assessed by my Department. A report in the matter will be available to me shortly. When I have considered fully the findings of the report, I will write to both Deputies outlining the situation. I expect to be in a posiiton to do this in the near future.
