Vol. 499 No. 1

Written Answers. - School Car Park.

John Bruton

Question:

941 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department's technical advisers have proposed revised drawings for a car park at the national school in Slane, County Meath, which will alleviate the problems at the school in relation to the safe dropping off and collection of children; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1383/99]

My Department's technical advisers submitted proposals for a car park to the local authority some time ago but to date they have not received any communication in regard to the matter. My Department is willing to provide grant aid to alleviate the problems at this school and will progress the matter as soon as the local authority responds to the proposals submitted.
