Question:

986 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education and Science when his Department will complete its evaluation of the site proposed for a new premises for Gaelscoil Charman, Bishopswater, Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1662/99]

The board of management of Gaelscoil Charman has identified a site which it deems suitable for the construction of a new school. My Department's professional staff have approved the site and subject to a favourable report from the Valuation Office that the property is good value for money, my Department will be in further contact with the school authorities. As soon as the Valuation Office's report has been received, my Department will progress the matter.
