Vol. 499 No. 1

Written Answers. - Leaving Certificate Examination.

Willie Penrose

Question:

1008 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department is granting concessions to leaving certificate students who have particular difficulties and problems which have been documented; if he will ensure that the appropriate concession is granted to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1883/99]

Applications for special arrangements for students taking the certificate examinations are made through the authorities of the school the student is attending. In the case of the student referred to by the Deputy, my Department has confirmed with the authorities of the school concerned that no application for special arrangements has been made on behalf of the student.
