Vol. 499 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Properties.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

1022 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if, in relation to lands, properties, stocks or other valuables disposed by his Department since coming into office, he will outline to whom these were disposed and whether by tender, sale or other means; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2271/99]

As part of the arrangement to secure a site from Kildare County Council for the new second level school at Ballymakealy, Celbridge, County Kildare, my Department's building unit transferred the ownership of a 12 acre site at Mooretown, Celbridge, to the Kildare County Council in 1998. No other property has been disposed of by my Department since the Govern ment came into office other than items of nil value such as obsolete office equipment.
