Question:35 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Taoiseach the bodies to which he made political appointments since his election as Taoiseach; the remuneration for the individuals involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2566/99]
Written Answers. - Ministerial Appointments.
The bodies under the aegis of the Department of the Taoiseach are the National Economic and Social Council; the National Economic and Social Forum; the National Statistics Board; the National Centre for Partnership; the Information Society Commission; the Law Reform Commission and the National Millennium Committee.
I do not make any appointments to these bodies. With regard to the National Millennium Committee, however, nominations made by Minister of State, Deputy Seamus Brennan, were approved by the Tánaiste and me. The members are not in receipt of any remuneration.
