Vol. 499 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

David Stanton

Question:

79 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the second instalment of beef premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork. [3154/99]

The person named entered 13 animals for special beef premium in November 1997. A 60 per cent advance payment issued on 16 February 1998. The person named did not forward sufficient maps with his area aid application and consequently balancing payments under the special beef premium application were delayed pending clearance of the area aid application. The area aid application was recently cleared and it is expected that the balancing payment will issue over the coming weeks.

Michael Creed

Question:

80 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he has received an application from a person (details supplied) in County Cork for cattle headage and sheep headage grants; and when payment of these grants will be made. [3160/99]

A herd number for the person named cannot be identified in my Department. If a herd number is provided, further inquiries will be carried out.
