Vol. 500 No. 1

Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Question:

211 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 will receive a necessary and urgent hip replacement; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3269/99]

The provision of orthopaedic treatment in this case, in the first instance, is the responsibility of the Adelaide and Meath Hospitals, Dublin, incorporating the National Children's Hospital. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer to investigate this matter and respond directly to the Deputy.
