270 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current position of the remaining sentenced IRA prisoners repatriated from Britain who are in Portlaoise Prison; whether there are any further such prisoners awaiting repatriation to Irish jails; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3201/99]

There are 20 sentenced PIRA prisoners in Portlaoise Prison who were repatriated from Britain. There are no IRA prisoners currently awaiting repatriation from Britain.
