Vol. 500 No. 1

Written Answers - Mitigation Petitions.

Michael Ring

Question:

272 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department will waive the unpaid portion of a fine imposed on a person (details supplied) in County Mayo on compassionate grounds in view of the fact she has made great efforts to pay two-thirds of the fine at great financial suffering to herself and her children. [3238/99]

No petition or application to open a petition is currently on hand for consideration by me in respect of the person referred to by the Deputy. I have arranged to have the appropriate application form issued to the person concerned and to the Deputy.
