Vol. 500 No. 1

Written Answers - Schools Building Projects.

John Gormley

Question:

398 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Education and Science if the application in respect of St. Matthew's national school, Cranfield Place, Sandymount, Dublin 4, has been submitted for approval to proceed to architectural planning; if building work will commence during the summer months when the school is closed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3235/99]

The Deputy will be pleased to hear that a project to provide additional accommodation at St. Matthew's national school, Cranfield Place, has recently been approved to proceed to architectural planning.

At this early stage in the planning process, it is not possible to give a realistic timescale for work commencing on site.
