399 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will have arrangements made for grant assistance or financial help for the urgent private remedial teaching of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo whose school does not offer this service until September. [3236/99]
I understand that the child in question has recently been assessed and that recommendations have been made in the assessment report regarding the child's special educational needs.
My Department has asked the school concerned to forward a copy of the assessment report so that arrangements can be made to put any necessary support services in place. This report is currently awaited.
