Vol. 500 No. 1

Written Answers - Departmental Properties.

Dan Neville

Question:

185 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the outcome of any sale of lands in the ownership of his Department purchased for the purpose of carrying out the animal health investigation at Askeaton and Ballysteen, County Limerick; the price agreed for the sale of these lands; and the lands still in the ownership of his Department resulting from the purchase of the farm for the investigation. [3681/99]

My Department has already sold 9.652 acres for a sum of £250,000. In addition, a contract for the sale of a further 4.25 acres has recently been signed and this sale will be closed very shortly. Approximately 72 acres of the land in question remains in the ownership of the Department.
