My Department's policy is to provide grant-aid towards provision of a general purpose room in all new primary schools of four or more classrooms.
The pace at which general purpose facilities can be extended to all schools is dictated by the financial resources available. The priority has to be the provision of essential classroom accommodation and the elimination of existing substandard classrooms.
