Written Answers. - Electricity Generation.
An Bord Pleanála granted planning permission on 24 December 1998 for the new peat fired station in the east midlands. Site clearance and access work commenced on 18 January 1999. Pile driving began on 8 February. The project is proceeding according to plan and remains firmly on schedule for completion by the target date of mid-2001.
