Question:

79 Mr. Deenihan asked the Taoiseach the projects approved for millennium funding; the timetable for completion of these projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5428/99]

The national millennium committee is to advise the Government on proposed projects for inclusion in a millennium programme which will cover the period 1999 and 2000. The committee's processing of project proposals is ongoing and it will make recommendations to the Government on a regular basis. To date, on the recommendations of the committee, the Government has approved the allocation of a sum not exceeding £1 million of millennium funding to Millennium Festivals Limited.
