215 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 16 of 17 December 1998 the progress on his proposals in regard to An Coimisiúin Logainmneacha and An Bhrainse Logainmneacha; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7045/99]
The interdepartmental working group set up to examine the transfer of the placenames branch to the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands has concluded its deliberations and has completed a draft report. This report is currently being finalised. I expect the working group to present the final report to me and the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands in the near future.
