243 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the status of an unfair dismissals case being taken by a a former employee of the Blood Transfusion Board (details supplied); if the board is in negotiations, has settled or agreed terms in any action taken by this person at the employment tribunal; the details and terms of any agreement reached; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been advised by the Blood Transfusion Service Board that the Employment Appeals Tribunal recently commenced hearing the claim of unfair dismissal by the former employee of the board referred to by the Deputy. The tribunal hearing has been deferred and is expected to reconvene in the near future.
