247 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for an operation in view of the fact that his condition has deteriorated dramatically; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6825/99]
The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
