292 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the advice contained in the ENFO leaflet AS1 (details supplied); his views on whether this should be applied to milk packaging; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7159/99]
I am aware of the leaflet in question, which advocates the reuse and recycling of municipal waste. It includes general advice aimed at reducing the amount of household waste arising for disposal and this advice is relevant in relation to household packaging waste generally. The leaflet must of course be understood in context, having regard to the general purpose for which it was intended.
