342 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the number and location of heritage houses and buildings needing emergency attention in terms of restoration and conservation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7183/99]

The Heritage Council, which is an independent statutory body under my aegis, is compiling a list of heritage buildings at risk. I understand that, to date, 236 owners have nominated their buildings for inclusion on this list. Further details are available, on request, from the Heritage Council.
