Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.

Michael Ring

Question:

412 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when refurbishment works will commence for Drumgallagh national school, Bal lycroy, Westport, County Mayo; when the work will go to tender; and when the necessary funding will be sanctioned in view of the conditions the pupils have to study in. [6800/99]

My Department presented proposals for improving the accommodation situation at Drumgallagh national school, Ballycroy, Westport, County Mayo, to the school management. Their response is currently being considered within my Department and the primary building unit will be in contact with the school as quickly as possible. At this stage it is not possible for me to give a date for tender invitation or commencement of work.
