418 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will fund Coláiste de hIde, Tallaght, Dublin 24; if he will prioritise this matter as soon as possible in view of the conclusion of negotiations between South Dublin County Council and the County Dublin VEC; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The position is that, the building unit of my Department is awaiting the submission of the bill of quantities (Stage 5) for the proposed new all-Irish secondary school in Tallaght, Dublin 24. When this documentation has been received and found to be satisfactory, the project will proceed to the next stage, which is the invitation of tenders.
It is the intention of my Department to proceed to construction as soon as the tendering process has been completed. However, it is not possible for me to say when construction will actually commence.
