121 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the details of the new early farm retirement scheme which will be introduced following agreement on Agenda 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7349/99]

The Agenda 2000 proposals include provision for an early farm retirement scheme. Negotiations in all aspects of Agenda 2000 are ongoing and final decisions are expected shortly.
