Vol. 502 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

Willie Penrose

Question:

269 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance the steps, if any, he will take to ensure an application for a rebate of income tax from a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath is dealt with immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7693/99]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of having received an application for a tax refund from the taxpayer.

Based on the information available to the inspector, no refund of tax is due to the taxpayer.

If the taxpayer considers that she is entitled to any additional allowances or reliefs she should contact the inspector of taxes who will be pleased to review her tax liability.
